Long-lasting, meaningful connection between two people is built over time with little things that are done on a daily basis. This goes for romantic relationships as well as parent-child relationships. Create a list of 5 things you can do each day to connect with your partner, baby, or child. The list should include small gestures of affection that communicates to your loved one that you are there for them and that they are important to you.
-Breath hug- hold each other while taking 3 slow, deep breaths
-5 minute uninterrupted conversation. Make sure to use eye contact!
-5 minutes of play with your child
-share a cup of tea together
-tuck your child into bed each night and spend a few minutes together doing something relaxing or just talking about the day. This is important for babies, toddlers, and teens!
